Actor Awards BTS – Michael B. Jordan got a Beatles-like reception

LOS ANGELES − With global conflict erupting in the backdrop, the Actor Awards maintained a jovial and celebratory atmosphere as Hollywood stars let loose at the peer-voted awards show.

Formerly known as the Screen Actors Guild Awards, the March 1 ceremony had fun off-camera moments such as "One Battle After the Other" star Teyana Taylor holding court with her 5-year-old daughter, Rue, on the red carpet and Demi Moore navigating a delicate fashion choice.

But the Actor Awards also took on a somber note as Hollywood mourned the recent loss of one of their own: Catherine O'Hara, who was awarded a posthumous trophy that was accepted by an uncharacteristically forlorn Seth Rogen.

Here are the moments we caught that weren't shown on Netflix's live broadcast.

Hollywood's biggest celebrities donned their most striking looks for the Actor Awards on March 1 in Los Angeles. We've got all the night's standout fashions, starting with Kate Hudson.

Rue Rose Shumpert charms as mom Teyana Taylor breaks out dance moves

The Actor Awards not only had a new name and streaming home, but also an added flair of fanfare for the nominees walking the carpet. As stars made their way to the pre-ceremony reception, they passed by a seated area filled with social media influencers who hyped them up with cheers and shouted compliments.

After spotting the gaggle of admirers, Teyana Taylor put on a show, dancing as she led Rue over to the spectators. Her youngest daughter popped in and out of Taylor's interviews with the microphone-toting set of social media creators, at one point wandering across the carpet to the press line and admiring Haley Kalil's elaborate nails.

Fran Drescher, Sheryl Lee Ralph bathe in red carpet fanfare

Some of the actors, like Taylor, hammed it up for the raucous influencer crowd. "Marty Supreme" actress Fran Drescher, dressed to the nines in a top hat and feathery pink stole, posed for iPhone cameras like it was the step-and-repeat.

"Abbott Elementary" leading ladies Janelle James and Sheryl Lee Ralph also happily moseyed over to mingle with the gallery of influencers while actress and singer Sofia Carson blew them copious air kisses.

Demi Moore, Gwyneth Paltrow and Emma Stone were more coy as they offered waves while speeding along the carpet. Sterling K. Brown smile shyly at the ground as a group congratulated him on "Paradise" Season 2.

Emotional Seth Rogen turns to the late Catherine O'Hara's friends

Seth Rogen was visibly down as he commiserated with Catherine O'Hara's "Best in Show" costar Parker Posey after accepting O'Hara's posthumous award.

After he had "the very sad honor" of accepting O'Hara's posthumous best female actor in a comedy series trophy, "The Studio" honcho Seth Rogen somberly made a beeline to O'Hara's "Best in Show" costar Parker Posey and gave her a long embrace.

Following their intense conversation, Rogen returned to his Apple TV show's table and, looking despondent, kept to himself for a while.

How did Demi Moore sit with that massive tulle train?

Demi Moore's Schiaparelli dress was quite the party in the back.

The consummate professional, Demi Moore was not held back by her overflowing gown – a black Schiaparelli column gown with a massive, black-speckled white tulle tail affixed to the back. Once she'd made her way through the red carpet, Moore worked the ballroom, making a beeline to Netflix boss Ted Sarandos for hugs and hellos.

After exchanging greetings with Billy Bob Thornton and her other "Landman" costars, Moore faced the daunting task of fitting herself on a seat. She expertly accomplished this by gingerly lowering herself onto the chair and turning sideways, allowing room for her poufy train.

Michael B. Jordan followed by screams of admiration as he exits after party

1 / 0'Sinners' wins big! See Michael B. Jordan make history at 2026 Actor Awards

"Sinners" won the top prize, best ensemble in a motion picture, and best actor for star Michael B. Jordan at the Actor Awards. Revisit the excitement the cast felt at tonight's Actor Awards.

“Sinners” was the Actor Awards big winner, with Michael B. Jordan shocking with a best actor win and the cast winning the top prize, best ensemble. Jordan was late arriving at the official after party, where he was besieged by fans and well-wishers. He stood with a big grin at a private table with both Actor Awards parked in front of him.

After 20 minutes, his security led what could best be described as a star extraction from the event. As Jordan stood outside awaiting his limousine, predominantly female fans several floors above him in the University of Southern California parking structure started screaming.

It was so protracted that waiting “Hacks” star Jean Smart compared it to seeing the Beatles live in concert. “Boys don’t scream; girls do. Why is that?” Smart wondered.
