Eleven years after their divorce, Antonio Banderas and Melanie Griffith are still enjoying good times together.

On Monday, the *Paddington in Peru *actor shared a snapshot of the two hanging out, along with daughter Stella and her husband. He captioned it, "A lovely and fun moment yesterday in Los Angeles with my son-in-law Alex, my daughter Stella, and my ex-wife and lifelong friend, Melanie."

Banderas and Griffith married in 1996, after having costarred in the previous year's romantic comedy *Two Much*. They welcomed Stella on Sept. 24, 1996.

The *Working Girl* star filed for divorce in 2014, but the two have remained close over the years.

"Even if we are divorced, she is my family and I will love her until the day I die," he told PEOPLE* *in April 2018. "We have been in contact all these years and we managed to do a separation that is very elegant."

He noted, "Our kids are enjoying that and that is very important for both of us. Our kids are priority number one."

Stella is Banderas' only child. Griffith has four kids in all, including Alexander Bauer, 40, whose father is Griffith's ex-husband Steven Bauer, as well as the two kids she shares with ex-husband Don Johnson. Their daughter Dakota, is 36, while son Jesse, whom Johnson shares with Patti D'Arbanville but Griffith considers her own son too, is 43.

Banderas, who began dating Nicole Kimpel just after his split from Griffith, has said multiple times that the actress remains his best friend.

For her part, Griffith has said she has no plans to remarry.

"I really don't think it's relevant for anyone anymore," she told *InStyle* in 2018. "But especially if you're 60 and you have four kids and you're living the life you've always wanted. Then why get married?"

She wasn't against meeting someone else, though.

"I would love to fall in love and have a romance, a relationship, but I haven't," Griffith said. "I keep looking. I've had a couple of lovers but not a relationship."

Daughter Dakota Johnson explained in a February 2022 interview with ** that her family is "quite complicated."

"There are a lot of maternal women around, and every single one is so different, and the way they connect to their children is so different."
