Recently, speculation has surged that the singer could use the upcoming Met Gala to launch Act III, the still-unannounced third installment of her album trilogy. One widely circulated claim suggested the project was already complete and would be announced around the Met Gala, with a rollout to follow shortly after.

That specific theory has since been shut down. On April 27, Beyoncé’s publicist Yvette Noel-Schure responded directly to the claim on X, writing, “This is unequivocally false!!”

While that rules out at least one timeline, it has not stopped broader speculation around the project.

The latest wave of theories stems in part from Beyoncé’s recent Instagram activity. Fans have closely analyzed a series of posts, including images of her in a purple Saint Laurent look that some linked to Prince’s “Purple Rain,” as well as a separate photo featuring three lemons. While some fans interpreted it as a hint, the clip dates back to 2001, during the Survivor era, and aligns with Beyoncé’s recent post celebrating the album’s 25th anniversary. Like other claims, the theory remains unverified.

What has Beyoncé actually confirmed about Act III?

Very little.

Beyoncé first introduced the concept of a three-act project with 2022’s Renaissance, followed by 2024’s Cowboy Carter. However, she has not publicly shared details about the third installment, including its title, sound, or release timeline.
