Eva Green was injured while filming Wednesday season 3.
Production on the hit Netflix series' next season is underway in Ireland, and the French actress, 45, joins the cast as Ophelia Frump, aunt to the titular character, played by Jenna Ortega, and sister to Morticia Addams (Catherine Zeta-Jones).
Green sustained an on-set leg injury, but did not break any bones, PEOPLE has learned. She was taken to the hospital for treatment and is recovering well.
The studio confirmed Green was injured during production, but shared no further details.

In season 3 of the series, Green will play the sister that Morticia has long said went missing. Creator Miles Millar told Netflix's Tudum that Ophelia's absence has "left a hole in Morticia’s life and a lot of unanswered questions."
He teased, "The reemergence of Ophelia is going to hit this family like a bomb.”

Of Green's casting, Millar and Al Gough, the show's co-creator, told Tudum, "We're excited to see how she transforms the role and expands Wednesday’s world.”
"Eva Green has always brought an exhilarating, singular presence to the screen — elegant, haunting, and beautifully unpredictable. Those qualities make her the perfect choice for Aunt Ophelia."
When her casting was announced in November, the actress told Tudum that she's "thrilled to join the woefully twisted world of Wednesday as Aunt Ophelia."
"This show is such a deliciously dark and witty world, I can’t wait to bring my own touch of cuckoo-ness to the Addams family,” she said.

Winona Ryder has also joined the show's cast for season 3. She will play a character named Tabitha, though few details have been shared about what fans can expect from her.
Ryder's arrival marks a reunion for her with both Ortega, with whom she worked on 2024's Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, and her longtime collaborator Tim Burton, who serves as executive producer and director on Wednesday.
Chris Sarandon, Noah Taylor, Oscar Morgan and Kennedy Moyer have also joined the cast for season 3.
