“My little angel is the Prom Queen,” he wrote over a photo of the teenager wearing a crown and sash

Jelly Roll is celebrating his daughter Bailee's new title: prom queen.

On Saturday, May 2, the country star, 41, shared a photo of his 17-year-old daughter at her senior prom wearing a glittery green dress, a silver crown and two sashes that read “Prom Royalty” and “Prom Queen.”

“My little angel is the Prom Queen😭😭😭😭,” Jelly Roll, whose real name is Jason DeFord, wrote over the photo shared on his Instagram Stories.

Hours later, he also reposted a video that he and wife Bunnie Xo made with Bailee. While lip-syncing to Reba McEntire's “Fancy,” the trio sat in their pajamas and casual clothes before Bailee leaned forward and used her hand to transition them into their prom-ready ensembles.

“Our last high school dance transition😭😭,” Bunnie, 46, whose real name is Alyssa DeFord, wrote over the video before adding in the caption, “You kno we had to represent🩷.”

Bailee's big night comes just months after she threw her dad and stepmom their own prom called “Under the Stars” after learning that the two of them both missed their own big night years ago.

In an Instagram video shared by Bunnie in December, Bailee could be seen ushering the couple into a large event space before announcing them as the prom king and queen. While Bunnie wore a long, light-blue floral dress for the occasion, Jelly Roll sported an all-black ensemble with a cowboy hat to match.

“I learned a powerful lesson as a parent this week,” Bunnie wrote over the video. “Bailee has always hated school dances. But because J and I never went to ours, we've always pushed her: ‘Go make memories. Go have the experiences we missed.' ”

“This year has been heavy — schedules, mental health, burnout…all of it,” she continued. “We've kept to ourselves, and we hate surprises. So when Bailee texted saying she had one for us, I spiraled. Especially after we swore there'd be no surprises for J's birthday. But we showed up for our girl anyway…even with tired hearts."

Bunnie went on to admit that the wonderful surprise stopped her and Jelly Roll in their tracks, but the pair were ultimately thrilled to dance and sing “like teenagers” while surrounded by their closest friends and family members.

"And the lesson? Time is the most precious thing we own,” she concluded in the video. “Spend it on your people. The memories you make with them will outlive everything else.”
