- Jenna Bush Hager got emotional while talking about her kids on Thursday's edition of *Today With Jenna and Sheinelle.*

- The host teared up after expressing concern that she hasn't been able to spend enough time with her 10-year-old daughter, Poppy.

- Cohost Sheinelle Jones quickly comforted Hager, assuring her that she's not alone in that feeling.

Jenna Bush Hager just had a very tender moment with her fellow mama bear Sheinelle Jones.

The *Today With Jenna & Sheinelle* cohost became visibly emotional on Thursday's show while running through her recent busy schedule.

"I've been working a lot … and I've had these big interviews and all the book stuff, and so this morning when I woke up, I thought, 'Okay, the next couple weeks, the next couple months, it's kid-focused,'" the mother of three told Jones, who is raising three kids of her own that she had with her late husband, Uche Ojeh.

Hager went on to say that she's been especially concerned about not having enough time for her 10-year-old daughter, Poppy Louise, her middle child.

"I'm like, 'How can I show up for Poppy in a way….?'" Hager began, before abruptly cutting herself off as her voice broke. "Now I'm crying."

Trying to laugh it off, Hager said, "I don't know what's wrong with me! It's ‘cause I haven't been able to…”

As she trailed off, Jones — who recently penned her ode to motherhood with the book *Through Mom's Eyes* — pulled her friend into a hug, assuring her that she was describing a familiar experience.

"The thing is, we see you," she began. "I'm not trying to be like, 'That's why I wrote my book,' but it's true. It's one of those things where we can't do it all at the same time, but when we're here, when we're in the moment, you lean into your presence."

Comforting Hager, she added, "And also— you just had a whole Mommy & Me thing. And that was amazing!”

"But that wasn't with Poppy," Hager replied, then assured her, "I know, we're okay."

Hager then pretended to lie down on a therapy couch, joking, "Should I lay down? Tell me more!"

Hager and Jones are no stranger to getting a little emotional when it comes to their children. Jones was brought to tears earlier this month when her kids, Kayin, 16, Clara Josephine, 13, and Uche Jr., 13 made a surprise appearance, showering their mother with compliments over her new book.

The TV anchor, who last year lost her husband to cancer, explained that she dedicated the book to her children because "I want my kids to know that they are my everything. Because what I've realized is that tomorrow is not promised and I think because my life has been turned upside down and they've already lost a parent, it made me question, 'What would I want to leave on this planet? And what do I want to leave for my kids.'"

Hager, who has long been candid about her motherhood journey, shares son Hal, 6, and daughters, Mila, 13, and Poppy, 10, with her husband, Henry Chase Hager.
