Jennifer Gates is entering into a new decade of her life.
The eldest daughter of Bill Gates and Melinda French Gates celebrated turning 30 on Sunday, April 26.
As she marked the milestone birthday, the mom of 2 and pediatric resident reflected on one of the lessons she learned in her 20s.
“This year has taught me that a full life and a balanced life aren't always the same thing, and that's okay,” Gates wrote. “Entering my 30s still showing up for my patients, my girls, and every once in a while, myself."

Sharing a glimpse into how she celebrated the big day, Jennifer re-posted a clip originally shared by her younger sister Phoebe, 23.
In the video, Jennifer grinned while preparing to blow out her candles as a group of guests, which included her husband Nayel Nassar, sang "Happy Birthday" to her.
"The best sister in the world," Phoebe wrote.

In his own social media tribute, Nassar wasn't shy about singing his wife's praises.

“Couldn't have scripted your 20s even if I tried — but I do know with certainty that our girls couldn't have a better mom and role model, and I couldn't ask for a more loving (and lovable) wife,” Nassar, a professional equestrian, captioned his post.
“We are all so lucky to have you and can't wait to cheer you on through this next decade," he added. "Happy 30th 💕 🎂.”
Alongside his heartfelt message, he shared a handful of family photos, including images of Jennifer and the girls —daughters Leila and Mia —spending time with both her parents.
