What's next for Hollywood?
It's about to get dropkicked by Luke Hawx.
The professional wrestler got his break in movies as a stunt performer. Before long, his stunt work led to infamous scenes and acting roles. It started when one project needed both an actor and a stunt performer, and Hawx capitalized on that opportunity.
Then he got a job on the cable TV wrestling drama Heels. As luck would have, the project needed someone who understood both the action in front of the camera and the work it took behind it.
Hawx was carefully selected to head that behind-the-scenes role, including hiring and training the stars.
And for years, that was how Hawx learned how to do everything.
Any project that pops up, Hawx knows a guy who can do it.
It’s him.
That wasn’t always the case.
“I got my work ethic by not having one,” Hawx said with a laugh. “Growing up without having one, you have an awakening when you see talented people who work hard. They got good because they worked hard. I never saw anyone work hard, I always thought you either had it or you didn’t. Getting around the right influences and getting around the right people showed me what I needed to do.”
Hawx, who might be best known for his roles in Logan, The Fate of the Furious, Heels, and Young Rock.ften finds himself among the right people, and because of his jobs, he often travels around.

One day he could be in Australia shooting a show.
The next day he could be wrestling in Philadelphia or Rahway, New Jersey. Then he could be off to London to wrestle in the United Kingdom.
But no matter how far he drifts, his heart is always in New Orleans.
Now Hawx has found a way to bring the job he loves back to the place he loves, and in doing so he’s hoping to do his other favorite thing: give people opportunities.
That’s why he founded Ra-Ra Stories, a production company where he plans to develop film, television, digital and live entertainment projects in Louisiana.

The company will provide production services including creative development, filming, editing and post-production, talent, stunt services and live event production. Hawx said the goal is to create more opportunities for Louisiana talent in front of and behind the camera while producing projects intended for national and international audiences.
It’s a huge step for Hawx, but one he's spent his life preparing for.
He founded Wildkat Sports and Entertainment in 2011, which previously produced a weekly one-hour pro wrestling show until the pandemic forced the promotion to stop running shows.
Hawx has everything it takes when it comes to making his dream a reality in Louisiana. Everything includes a team of hungry performers and crew that share the same passion and dream as the Wildkat and Ra-Ra founder.
“I want to stress I’m from Louisiana, I love it here,” Hawx said. “Film has given me the life I have, it’s always been my career. I’m often identified for my wrestling but that's because for my early part of my film career I was behind the scenes working on choreography or I was hiding my face as a stuntman ... but for the past 20 years, my career has been film. I’ve been very fortunate, but the business died with the strike killing everything, a lot of work went overseas."
“There are a lot of talented people here. Insanely talented people who aren’t working. There are tax credits here. There's opportunity here. So some crazy person has to do it and start putting something together. Might as well be me, it’s the same as we did with WildKat sports. Basically, the idea is locally made in Louisiana, but seen worldwide. Our first recent release is just a sample of what we have in store. There are so many talented people here as I mentioned and my goal is to collaborate with them and showcase that to the world.”
Hawx said Ra-Ra's first major production release will be a collaboration with local Louisiana filmmakers, Bludot productions. This triple threat is formed of the two brothers and Hawx. The trio just released a teaser trailer from their upcoming documentary covering Hawx’s real-life personal struggles, accomplishments, as well as the adversity throughout his career in the world of pro wrestling, bodybuilding and of course, film and television.
The recently released trailer offers a small glimpse of the quality and production Ra-Ra offers, while at the same time leaving you wondering what's next and begging to see more. The trailer is a great example on what you can expect from future company projects.
“This is a one stop shop,“ Hawx said. “We do everything! Need action? We got it covered! We have the abilities to bring anything to life, from the people to the equipment. All in house and utilizing our local, homegrown talent, while directly building up our community. Really filmed and produced in Louisiana but made for the whole world. ”
Hawx has several acting projects on tap.
He appears in the first two seasons of “Blue Ridge” on Amazon Prime Video and is scheduled to appear in Season 2 of Netflix’s “The Hunting Wives.”
He also has a supporting role in the horror-thriller “Social Spider,” scheduled for 2027.
But for Hawx, it’s not about what’s done. It’s about what’s next.
“We can do anything, shoot a commercial, a documentary, a movie, whatever people need,” Hawx said. “I got a long way to go, I know, but the goal is to make it happen. And make other people’s dreams come true too. We’re the guys to do it."
“I never thought I’d love anything but wrestling, but as time went on, I fell more and more in love with fitness and Hollywood. Thankfully my hard work in both have paid off massively. I have a lot of creativity and life in me, I look forward to sharing that with Ra-Ra Stories. It's fun to find things you want to put your efforts and time into. It’s even better when you can help someone else find and live out their dreams.”
