The actress arrived in a sculptural gown, steering away from the minimalist fashion of the late Carolyn Bessette Kennedy, whom she plays in Love Story
While promoting the series, which follows Carolyn's relationship with John F. Kennedy Jr., Pidgeon opened up about the costuming of the show and how it helped her channel the late fashion publicist

In recent weeks, fans of the 29-year-old actress got to see her lean into the fun of method dressing amid the promotion of Love Story: John F. Kennedy Jr. & Carolyn Bessette. Pidgeon, who plays Carolyn Bessette Kennedy, tackled the press tour, including the Fashion Week events nestled in it, in a variety of ensembles, from an earth-toned Prada look in Milan to an all-black outfit in New York, channeling the effortless cool of the late Carolyn.
However, Pidgeon has made sure to sprinkle some of her own flair into the mix, continuing to do so at the 2026 Actor Awards.

On March 1, the star arrived looking glamorous in a baby pink strapless gown with a mermaid-like silhouette. The design was also exaggerated at the back with its volume revealed to the cameras on the carpet.
She paired the dress with white pointed-toe heels and jewelry by Rahaminov Diamonds. Her hair was styled in a low-hanging ponytail framed with waved pieces.
Following the debut of Love Story, which also stars Paul Anthony Kelly (John F. Kennedy Jr.), Carolyn's sense of style has made headlines once again, and Pidgeon herself has also talked about its legacy.
Speaking on a Feb. 19 episode of The Run-Through with Vogue, Pidgeon remembered the fashion publicist for her "amazing coats" and "well-tailored" pieces.

But, when asked what she "inherited" from Carolyn's style, Pidgeon explained that the late Calvin Klein publicist always stood out despite the clothes she was wearing. "I think the thing that strikes me about Carolyn is that you really see her first despite wearing very architectural pieces like a lot of Yohji [Yamamoto]."
In an interview with PEOPLE, Pidgeon also said how the costumes helped her understand Carolyn's relationship to the public eye, and therefore step into her shoes.

"I think understanding — or at least my interpretation of her relation to the press — she was fiercely private, so I think it made so much sense, and you could feel it when you put the clothes on," Pidgeon shared. "It makes you stand in a different way, and it sort of holds you in and protects you."
The Actor Awards, formerly the Screen Actors Guild Awards, is the first to occur following the event's major name change. It's also the first time the ceremony has an official dress code instituted by Elle, the publication in partnership with the show.
An "official red carpet dress code" that was announced on Jan. 15 asked stars to outfit to the theme of “Reimagining Hollywood Glamour from the ’20s and ’30s." The very Met Gala-like rule draws inspiration "from an era defined by cinematic elegance and bold expression" and "aligns with the overall creative vision of this year’s show," while inviting "attendees to reexamine classic ideas of glamour reimagined for a modern red carpet."
