It's almost time for those little ghosts and goblins to appear for some Halloween fun.
So, what are the hottest costumes in Augusta this year?
Spirit Halloween opens on Robert C. Daniel Parkway in early October and sells costumes, decorations, Halloween animatronic characters, and anything else Halloween.
Costume popularity is influenced by what's popular on TV and at movie theaters, and sometimes by hot toys, said Birdie Calahan, the manager at Augusta's Spirit Halloween.
This year that means KPop Demon Hunters, Five Nights at Freddy's, and The Odyssey, an IMAX action-fantasy film, Calahan said.

The white, elongated ghostface inspired by the famous painting The Scream by Edvard Munch and Pennywise, the scary evil ghost clown from Stephen King's horror novel It, are popular for costumes, masks, and decorations.

K-Pop Demon Hunters is an animated musical action-comedy on Netflix. Five Nights at Freddy's is a supernatural horror film. Besides costumes, fans can purchase life-sized (or larger) animatronic replicas of some characters in the fillm.
Calahan said Spirit Halloween has only been able to get a few of the animatronic replicas and they've sold out right away. The only one in the store on Monday was Freddy Fazbear, a giant bear with a $500 price tag.

Costumes from The Odyssey include togas, shields and swords, cloaks, gowns, helmets and more.
Calahan said she's seeing more adults this year - an audience she's seen grow since she became store manager five years ago.
She attributes it in part to the popularity of TikTok videos that inspire role playing and videoing it to share on social media.
