Fans who missed "Toy Story 5" in theaters may not have to wait much longer to watch the latest installment at home.
After debuting exclusively in theaters on June 19, 2026, the Pixar film is expected to arrive on premium video-on-demand platforms later this month, with a Disney+ streaming release likely to follow this fall.
While Disney has not announced official home release dates, the studio's recent release patterns suggest "Toy Story 5" will become available for digital purchase and rental on Aug. 18, according to Forbes.
Once released on premium video-on-demand, viewers will be able to buy or rent the movie through digital retailers such as Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV and other major platforms.

The film is expected to begin streaming on Disney+ in September though an early October debut is also possible. That timeline would follow Disney's recent practice of releasing theatrical films on its streaming service about 3 and a half to 4 months after their theatrical premieres.
